Soluble in anhydrous alcohols, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons and ethers; reacts with acetone, carbon tetrachloride and water.

Used mainly as an adhesion promoter, surface modifier of inorganic fillers for polymers: acrylic, butyl, cellulose, epoxy, phenolic, furan, melamine, urea-formaldehyde, neoprene, nitrocellulose, nitrile, polyamide, polyesters, polyurethanes, polyolefins and polyols. Also used for the preparation of chromatographic fillings, surface modification of metals and glass fibers and as a reagent for synthesis.
